Peter Hickman has parted company with Hawk Colchestꦚer Kawasaki in the British 🐠Superbike Championship in a move that sees the return of James Haydon to the BSB fold.

Series sophomore Hickman - who first rode for Hawk back in 2003 - has endured a disappointing start to the 2007 campaign, with three🍌 twelfth-place finishes his best results on the ZX10-R while team-mate Scott Smart lies some five spots and 37 points higher in the title standings. In light of this, a "mutual and amicable decision" has been taken for te♓am and rider to go their separate ways.

"Peter has had a long relationship wit෴h Hawk Kawasaki," commented team owner Stuart Hicken, "and we wish him the very best in the future."

Alex Camier - younger brother of Bike Animal Honda star Leon - will replace Hickman in the short term at Croft this weekend after ridingꦜ Hawk's Supersport bike at the two previous meetings. David Hallett will take over Camier's seat after stepping up from the Superstock Cup.

Fol🐻lowing a successful test at Mallory Park last week, meanwhile, Haydon will make his Hawk Kawasak꧅i BSB debut at Cadwell Park a fortnight later. The eleven-time BSB race-winner himself split from Virgin Media Optoma Loans Yamaha earlier this year, and will remain alongside Smart at Hawk for the remainder of the current campaign.
