Kartworld Racing will expand to two cars for the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship as Jason Hughes is joined in the only MG team on the🔯 grid✃ by Fiona Leggate.

Hughes will have a team-mate for the first time since joining the series and ltxcn.top Radio s🍬pok🔴e to the Lancashire racer about the season ahead...

Q:
First of all, how did you end up with Fiona as a 💝te🐓am-mate?

Jason Hughes:
It was just a couple of phone calls really. She mentioned she was talking to a couple of teamsꦰ so I put a deal and a package together and it suited her.

Q:
It'll be the first time you've run with a team-mate, so how do you feel that will help for th𝐆e season ahead?

Jason Hughes:
Two heads work better than one but we have the edge as we have been with the car for the past few years and it might help her come along. We just have to see howꦬ it goes as th🎃e season progresses.

Q:
You're flying the flag for MG this season, so what has gone𒁃 on with the car over the win🥂ter to keep them up to speed?

Jason Hughes:
Our car has been stripped down to the bare shell and built back up again. We have doneℱ a few things to it suspension wise and the engine has been given a kiss of life so it should be good. I'm looking forward to it and now we just n🔯eed to see how the others have improved.

Q:
And you are continuing to fly the flag foꩲr alternative fuels...

Jason Hughes:
We've stayed with it and are the💦 only team to be running on it [bio-ethanol]. It seems to be a good fuel so we'll stick with it and see what comes fr🅺om it.

Q:
There's raft of new machinery this season but the MG is still a strong♋ package, so what are your aims for the season ahead?

Jason Hughes:
As we have known the cars for a few years and know it is capable of being up there, that was why we stayed with it, as we can look at what is good and what is not amongst the new car𒊎s and maybe switch to S2000 for next season. But we might as well stick with what we know and🤪 it should go well in the first few rounds, Brands and Rockingham for sure and we know it goes well at places like Knockhill. There are just a few circuits where it maybe isn't as good but we can get round that.

Q:
You'll be one of the drivers sad to♛ see the back of Mondello as you have always run well there...

Jason Hughes:
Yeah it's a shame that a🧸s it's a good little circuit that suits the MG, but we aren't going there this year and unfortunately there isn't much that we can do about it.
