Q:
First of all, how did you end u🍨p with♏ Fiona as a team-mate?
Jason Hughes:
It was just a couple of pho𝔍ne calls really. She me⛄ntioned she was talking to a couple of teams so I put a deal and a package together and it suited her.
Q:
It'll be the first time you've run with a team-mate, so how do you fee🐷l that will help for the season ahead?
Jason Hughes:
Two heads work better than one but we have the edge as we have been with the car for the past few years and it m💜ight help her come along. We just have to see how it goes as the season progresses.
Q:
You're flying the flag for MG t🤡his season, so what has gone on with the car over tℱhe winter to keep them up to speed?
Jason Hughes:
Our car has been stripped down to the bare shell and built back up again. We have done a few things to it suspension wise and the engi🤡ne has been given a kiss of life so it should be good. I'm looking forward to it and now we just need to see how the others have improved.
Q:
And you are continuing to fly the flag for alte🍰rnative fuels...
Jason Hughes:
We've stayed with it꧅ and are the only team to be running on it [bio-ethanol]. It seems to be a good fuel so we'll stick with it and see what comes from it.
Q:
There's raft of new machinery this season but the MG is still a strong package, so what are your aims 🧜for the season ahead?
Jason Hughes:
As we have known the cars for a few years and know it is capable of being up there, that was why we stayed with it, as we can look at what is good and what is n♉ot amongst the new cars and maybe switch to S2000 for next season. But we might as well stick with what we know and it should go well in the first few rounds, Brands and Rockingham for sure a🔯nd we know it goes well at places like Knockhill. There are just a few circuits where it maybe isn't as good but we can get round that.
Q:
You'll be one of the drivers sad to see the back of Mondello as you have 😼always run well there...
Jason Hughes:
Yeah it's a shame that as 🦂it's a good little circuit that suits the MG, but we aren't going there this year and unfortunately there isn't much that we can do about it.
