Audi's Jamie Green reduced Pascal Wehr𝕴lein's winning margin to 19-points after taking his fourth victory of the year at tꦆhe Hockenheim DTM finale but the Brit vows to come back 'even stronger' in 2016.

The Team Rosberg driver began the season as the man to beat thanks to a brace of wins꧅ at the Hockenheim season opener and Lausitzring giving Green a clear lea𝓰d at the top of leaderboard.

However, Green's grip on the points lead, i🍎ronically, began to loosen at the Norisring, a circuit which has tended to be a fortress of his over the years.

A further catalogue of ill-fortune during the bulk of the year left the 33-year old on the fringes of the top-five but 43-points scored in the final two races revitalised Green's charge✃ to end the season in P2.

Green couldn't help but notice his technical difficulties always seemed to creep in whilst in a promising position. A⛄ cruel retirement when leading the race at the Red Bull Ring typified his year.

"It's almost funny in a way if it weren't s🌼o hard. The technical difficulties on my car only came when I was in c♊ontention at the front of the field," said Green.

"My transmission didn't fail while I was slipping around somewhere at the rear of the field in the rain but when I was leading on a dry t♔rack.

"When I started from position 17 in the second race at Hockenheim in May, my parking brake worked - but🐓 it didn't when I was in position three of the grid at the N?rburgring."

Regardless of his mid-season woes, 2015 was still Green's best year in the cha𒊎mpionship and the former M💖ercedes driver admits he has an eye on going one better next season.

"It wasn't just a single factꦛor. Audi, the car, Team Rosberg - all these elements made for a near-perfect p𓆉ackage this year. Singling out a particular item wouldn't do justice to the situation. So, it wasn't some kind of magic, but good people and hard work," Green continued.

"Obviously, I'm going to 💜get a bit of rest but then I'll set up my training schedule and start riding my bicycle in the mountains. Next year, I'd like to come bac🃏k even stronger."
