- Max Verstappen had a brief scare at the end of FP2 when he began to slow, but said there was no engine issueไ, instead saying it was 𓆏the result of a faulty sensor.
- Verstappen had no ex🐠planation for his shunt in FP1, saying he simply lost the rear end of the car and c𒊎ould not catch it.
- Brendon Hartley has taken a new gearbox for this weekend’s grand p🀅rix, but will face no penalty as he failed to finish the ꦫlast race in China.
- Despite a technical directive being issued confirming teams can affix mirrors to the Halo, Red Bull’s Paul Monaghan and Mercedes’ J✱ames Allison🍨 both agreed it would be difficult to manage given the tight criteria.
- In another technical directive issued to teams since China,♌ it was confirmed there will be no clampdown on blown exhausts for 2018, but th♋ere will for 2019.
