Spain F1 in-season test: Lynn: I hope I gave a good account of myself

Alex Lynn reflects on an incredible few days after claiming his maiden GP2 Series victory and making his Williams Formula 1 track debut

Alex Lynn feels he 'gave a good account♔ of myself' after h𒁏is track debut for Williams at the in-season Formula 1 test and leaves Barcelona delighted by his progress.

The reigning GP3 Series champion was handed his maiden run in the Williams FW37 Formula 1𓆏 car for Wednesday at the Circuit de Catalunya since being named as the team's development driver over the winte💙r.

The British driver also picked up his first GP2 Series vi๊ctory at the same venue over the race weekend and his first test in the Williams car capped a fantastic few days.

Lynn co🤪mpleted 52 laps on Wednesday, clocking a fastest lap of 1m 26.967s, and says he felt satisfied wit𓄧h his performance in the car.

"With the test programme I was given, I hope I gave a good account of myself, and I think I did as well as I could hope for," Lynn said. "After scoring my fir🎐st🦩 GP2 Series race win I've had a pretty amazing three days. First of all the reaction from everybody about my GP2 success, and then my first test day in a Williams-Mercedes FW37 Formula 1 car at the same track."

Lynn also says he picked up and wealth of kn꧟owledge and experience from the Williams team and singled out Felipe M💜assa as a handy mentor.

"The test was for two days and my team-mate Felipe Massa - how good does that sound, to call a multiple Grand Prix win𓂃ner my team-mate," he marvelled. "From the outside, testing of🐲ten doesn't look that exciting, but it was important to me to see how he conducts himself at a test.

"If I want to be a Grand Prix driver, I need to lear🧸n from people like him, and he's 🌠a great person to learn from."
