Barrichello re-signs with Honda for `08.

Rubens Barrichello has announced that he will stay with the Honda Racing F1 team next season having agreed a one-year exten🐈sion to his current deal.

Although Honda have struggled this year and have only s✱cored one point, thanks to Jenson Button's eighth place finish in France earlier this month, Rubens remains convinced the team will bounce back.

"I am delighted to confirm that I am staying with Honda for 2008," he told his personal website. "When I came here in 2006, it was always my intention to develop a long-term rel📖ationship and help build a strong team together.

"2007 has been tough so far but I believe we are heading in the right direction again. In🔥 addition to the great team we have already, there are some good new people coming on board and I have confidence that we will make progress now.

"Jenson and I have a great relationship together as team-mates and stability will be key as we l💜ook forward to the challenge of 20💦08. For now though, we have eight races remaining and that is where our focus lies."

For the r🃏ecord, Rubens' best finish this season 𝓡was a ninth place at the British Grand Prix two weeks ago.

Nex𒁃t year will mark his 18th season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, having made his debut with Jordan back in 1993. His most successful period came with Ferrari between 2000 and 2005, when he won nine grand's prix.
