Barrichello re-signs with Honda for `08.

Rubens Barrichello 🅺has announced that he will stay with the Ho𒁏nda Racing F1 team next season having agreed a one-year extension to his current deal.

Although Honda have struggled this year and have only sco⛎red one point, thanks to Jenson Button's eighth place finish in France earlier this month, Rubens remains convinced the team will bounce back.

"I am d🤪elighted to confirm that I am staying with Honda for 2008," he told his personal website. "When I came here in 2006, it was always my intention to develop a long-term relationship and help build a strong team together.

Although Honda have struggled this year and have only scored one point, thanks to Jenson Button's eight💟h place finish in France earlier this month, Rubens remains convinced the team will bounce back.

"I am delighted to confirm that I am staying with Honda for 2008," he told his personal website. "When I came here in 2006, it was always my intentionꦦ to develop a long-term relationship and help build a strong team together.

"2007 has been tough so far but I believe we are heading in the right direction again. In addition to the great team we have already, there are some good new people coming on board andღ I have confidence that we will make progress n✱ow.

"Jenson and I have a great relationship together as team-mates and stability will be key as we look forward to the chal🎃lenge of 2008. For now though, we have eight 🌃races remaining and that is where our focus lies."

For the record, Rubens' best finish this season wa𓃲s a ninth place at the British Grand Prix two week🤪s ago.

Next year will mark his 18th season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, having made💖 his debut with Jordan back in 199🍎3. His most successful period came with Ferrari between 2000 and 2005, when he won nine grand's prix.
