Ferrari forced to change Vettel's engine after Malaysia issue
Ferrari has confirmed it has changed the🍰 engine on Sebastian Vettel's Formula 1 car following an issue during final practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix on Saturday, edging the German closer to a grid penalty.
Vettel finished FP3 second overall behind teammate Kimi Raikko꧃nen, but had to end his𒆙 session early after an issue emerged while out on-track, forcing him to slow and nurse the car back to the pits.
Ferrari confirmed after the session it would be completing a "preca♌utional change" of Vettel's engine ahead of qualifying at the Sepang International Circuit.

No penalty will be given to Vettel as he has switched to his fourth power unit of the season, although it had been scheduled to be introduced at a later date, meaning it will require a longer life than planned in order to avoid any grid penaꦦlties.
