Ferrari forced to change Vettel's engine after Malaysia issue
Ferrari has confirmed it has changed the engine on Sebastian Vettel's F💧ormula 1 car following an issue during final practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix on Saturday, edging the German closer to a grid penalty.
Vettel finished FP3 second overall behind teammate Kimi Raikkonen, but had to end his session early after an issue emerged wh😼ile out on-tracജk, forcing him to slow and nurse the car back to the pits.
Ferr﷽ari confirmed after the session it would be completing a "ꦗprecautional change" of Vettel's engine ahead of qualifying at the Sepang International Circuit.

No penalty wil🧔l be gꦕiven to Vettel as he has switched to his fourth power unit of the season, although it had been scheduled to be introduced at a later date, meaning it will require a longer life than planned in order to avoid any grid penalties.
