David Croft will not be in the commentary box for this weekend’s race in💟 Azerbaijan.
C꧋roft has been ever-pജresent since the 2012 Australian Grand Prix as Sky’s lead commentator.
His absence for this weekend comes as no surprise with Croft annou💝ncing it ahead of the season.
Croft will step aside⭕ for Imola, Aust🤪ria and Azerbaijan, giving Harry Benjamin the hot seat for those races.
The 53-year-old revealed in February that he’♍s keen to take some time off, particularly as he's recently just got married.
Croft 🧔told earlier this year: “It’s more about keeping fresh for the whole season. I’m not getting any younger.
“I’ve given up and sacrificed a lot for my career. I want to give a bit of time back to my family and not be on the other side of the wo⛦rld. I’m getting married this year a꧟s well, so I’ve got a wedding to organise!
“But I also want to sitꦛ and watch a race at home. I want to enjoy it. Maybe I can learn something by not commentating on a race. I can spot a few things when I’m watching – I want to see what the viewer sees.”
