Piastri reflects on win

Speaking in parc ferme, Piastri said: "It was a pretty tough race. I’m very, very happy to have won. Made t🃏he difference at the start. Made my case into Turn 1, and that was enough.

"It was really tricky to foll🐻ow out there. I couldn’t really stay with ♋Max at the end of the first stint, just chewed up my tyres. And then the clean air was nice after the pit stop.

𝓰"Great race. We did the parts we needed to right. Still need a bit🧜 more I think, Max was a little bit too close for our liking, but a great race and a great weekend."

Behind the top three, Norris completes a strong recovery drive to secure fourt🐻h. 

The Mercedes pair of🔯 Russell and Antonelli take fifth and sixth ahead of Hamilton, who couldn't close in enough on Ant🌌onelli in the end. 

It's a great result for Williams with Sainz and Albon finishing eighth and ninth, while Hadjar 🅰claims the final point on offer in 10th for Racing Bulls.

Piastri crosses 🐲the line to win the 2025 Saudi 🍃Arabian Grand Prix!

That's his third win from five🧔 races this season and moves him i💞nto the lead of the world championship for the first time. 

Verstappen comes ho♉me to take second for Red Bull, as Leclerc keeps Norris behind🃏 to claim Ferrari's first podium of the year in third.

Piastri has sꦓtarted the final lap as he heads towards the win.

We could have a late bid for the poꦆdium from Norris here. The Briton is rapidly catching Leclerc's Fer🤪rari. He's less than two seconds behind.

The stewards have just announced that there will be no further investigation relating to Norris cಌrossing the white line at pit exit. 💦;

He can now breathe a sigh of relief.

Lap 44/50: Piastri closing on victory

Piastri looks fairly 𝐆comfortable out in the lead as he closes in on victory in Jeddah. 

The McLaren driver is just over four seconds clea🐷r of Verstappen. 

Leclerc is third, 3.3s clear of aꦺ charging Norris.

Norris has been noted by the stewards for crossin♛g the line at pit exit.

Lap 39/50: Big penalty for Lawson

Lawson has 🌠copped a 10-second time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage. 

That pretty much ends any hope of him scoring points. The Kiwi is 11th and five seconds b🌺ehind Racing Bulls teammate Hadjar, who is holding 10th.

Lap 38/50: Leclerc passes Russell

Leclerc, who has been charging after Russell, blasts past the Mercedes🍨 driver down the pit straight to move in🧸to third place. 

The Ferrari driver is absolutely flying! He is 7.5s behind Verstappen. C🍸ould he yet challenge for P2?

Lap 35/50: Norris pits, Piastri takes lead

Norris finally stops and comes back out in🌼 fifth on medium tyres. 

Piastri now has clean air and the race lead. He is 4.5s a♔head of Verstappen.

Lap 34/50: McLaren reveal plan

McLaren have just informed Piastri that Norris is extending by around four extra laps as he continues to run long into the race before pitting𓆉. 

Piastri replies by sayinඣg that he is starting⛄ to feel the impact of running in his teammate's dirty air. He is currently two seconds behind.

Lap 30/50: Leclerc pits from lead

Leclerc finally comes in after a fan♌tastic stint and some impressive tyre management on the medium tyres. He takes on hards, comes out in P5, and will now go to the end. 

That rel𓆉eases Norris - who is yet to stop - into th♓e lead, ahead of McLaren teammate Piastri.

Leclerc currently lea💮ds the race from Norris and Piastri, who will takeover the lead once Leclerc and Norris make their pit stops.

Lap 24/50: Verstappen up to fourth

Verstappen passes Hamilton at the final corner before the Ferrari driver dives💧 into⛎ the pits to make his pit stop. 

The gap between Piastri and Vღerstappen is 3🍨.8s.

Verstappen pits from the lead and after serving his fiveಞ-second time penalty, he comes out in fifth, behind Piastri and Hamilton (who is 🌊yet to stop).

Russell 🃏is the n🌞ext of the frontrunners to pit as Verstappen stays out. He returns to the track in P7.

Piastri is the first to pit as McLaren look to put Vꦯerstappen under some pressure. 

But it's a slow stop for Piastri at 3.5s! Will that be cosওtly?

Norris gains another place and moves into the top five by 𒆙dispatching Antonelli's M෴ercedes.

Verstappen has moved nearly three seconds clear of Piastri at this stagꦡe of the race. He will serve his five-second time penalty when he comes in for his pit stop.&nb𒅌sp;

Hamilton reports he is 🌱struggling over team radio: "I'm just sliding a♚round here mate. I can't turn the rears."

Lap 15/50: Norris gets move done!

At the third time of asking, Norris gets the job done as🦹 he finally makes a move on Hamilton stick. 

T𝓡his time, he keeps behind Hamilton at the final corner and uses the DRS benefit to slingshot past the Ferrari driver on the run to Turn 1.

That's P6 for Norris. Next up is Antonelli, who ⛎is three seconds up the road.
