2025 Aragon MotoGP: Sprint LIVE UPDATES

Live updates from the Sprint at this weekend's Aragon MotoGP.

Sprint at the ꦏAragon MotoGP is scheduled to get underway at 15:00 local time.

Marc Marquez was fastꦏest in Practice on Friday and took pole position this morning by 0.260 seconds ahead of his brother and chief title rival Alex Marquez.

Franco Morbidelli was able to make it an all-Ducati front row for this weekend's races, while Francesco Bagnaia qualified fourth ahead of Pedro Acosta 🐼and Brad Binder.

Yamaha struggled on Friday, but Fabio Quartararo was ab﷽le t𒀰o make it through Q1 to Q2 and ultimately qualified on the third row in ninth.

Silverstone winner Marco Bezzecchi crashed on his first flying lap of Q1 and had problems on his second bike, 𒁃and could only ജqualify 20th, ahead only of Somkiat Chantra.

It's Sprint victoryꩵ for Marc Marquez in Aragon. He wins by 2s over Alex Marquez, while Fermin Aldeguer completes t🍬he podium.

Morbidelli and Acosta round out the top-five, ahead of Di Gian𒊎nantonio, Vinales, Bezzecchi, Binder, and Raul Fernandez who completes the top-10.

Bagnaia only 12th after starting fourth. Quartararo slu🐬mped to 11th in the end.

Marc Marquez visible struggling now for edge grip, like the rest of the soft runners, but he has 2s back to Alex Marquez and 4s back to Aldeguer who was only a tenth faster th𝄹an the leader on the penultimate lap.

Aldeguer vs Morbidelli

Aldeguer up to third with three laps💛 to go, he passes Morbidelli into turn four. That choice of medium rear tyre really paying off for the Spaniardꦍ.

Aldeguer on a bit of a charge. He's fourth at the moment, but he w𝄹as 0.4ꦐs faster than Morbidelli on the last lap.

The soft tyre runners really dropping off at the moment, even🍨 Alex Marquez𒆙. Not Marc Marquez, though, it's probably worth noting.

Bezzecchi into the points noജw from 20th on the grid. He just passed Quartararo for ninth, who dropped a couple of positions when he ran wide at turn one. A bit ꧙of a salvage from Bezzecchi, though.

Marc Marquez already 0.8s ahead of Alex Marquez having been in the lead for only one  lap. Quite astꦦonishing pace.

A bit of a lunge from Marc Marquez at turn one of lap six, but he now leads. It was clean en💫ough, but he did come from a decent way back.

Impressive, really, from Marquez, becauseℱ he basically made up half-a-se🌳cond on that lap five.

Just to go back to the front, Alex Marquez just set the fastest la💙p of the race on lap four. He's 0.5ℱs clear of Marc Marquez.

Having been pressuri𒉰ng Morbidelli for third, Acosta is now back to fifth, passed by Aldeguer who jumped onto the back of the KTM rider when he ran wide at turn one.

Bagnaia's race is getting worse. He just got out-braked by Vinales into ✅turn 12. He's now ninth - where he finished in last year's Sprint after he spun off the start.

Morbidelli vs Acosta

Morbidelli now coming under press𝓡ure at the beginning of lap three from Acosta.

Acosta tried to pass ♎at turn one but ran wide and⛎ Morbidelli retook the position.

Conta♕ct between Miller and Mir at turn 12. Both go into the run off, and Mir falls in the gravel. He's out, Miller stays up ⭕and carries on.

Acosta waꦓs briefly third on the run into turn one, but he droജpped to fourth afterwards, and remains there at the end of lap one.

Bagnaia ma♍de a poor start. He was passed around the outside by Quartararo at turn three, and he let Di Giannantonio thꦬrough in the process at turn four.

So, just to confir🏅m, both Marc Mar🧜quez and Fabio Quartararo, having looked initially to be going with the medium rear, are now both on the soft.

Alde🍌guer, Bastianini, both Pramac riders, and Di Giannantonio confirmed to be on ꩵmedium rear tyres. Everyone else with the soft.

Davide ဣTardozzi also suggesting that both Ducati Lenovo Team riders will be on the soft rear tyre when 🌊speaking to the world feed. Says he expects everyone to be on the soft.
