MotoGP: Jack Miller breaks leg in Motocross incident

Jack Miller is in doubt for next month's Sepang MotoGP tesไt after breaking hꦜis right leg in a Motocross incident.
The new Marc VDS rider broke both the tibia and fibula while training at Bellpu﷽ig in Spain on Suܫnday (January 17), the day before his 21st birthday.
The Australian underwent surgery this morning to stabilise the two fractures with compression plates and screws and will remain under observation in Barcelona's Hospital University Quir?n Dexeus for the ne♔xt 48 hours.
A decision on whether Miller can participate in the first 2016 MotoGP test in Malaysia will be taken nearer the time, in conjunction with the rider and his medical team.
"Jack was unfortunate to sustain an injury so close to the s🌄tart of pre-season testing, but riders need to train and there is always some risk when you train on the MX bike," said team principal Michael Bartholemy.
"The good news is that the injury is not🅰 quite as severe as we first thought and that the surgery was successful. For a no❀rmal person the recovery period after such an injury would be long, but racers aren't normal people and I'm sure Jack is keen to get back on a bike as soon as possible.
"What is important now is that we monitor his recovery and that💃 he rides again only when he is fit enough to do so, even if that means him missing the first of the MotoGP p🌊re-season tests in Sepang."
The Sepang test takes place from February 1-3, follღowed by Miller's home Phillip Island test from February 17-19.
Miller i🍬s joining an expanded Marc VDS line-up, alongside Tito Rabat, after spending his rookie Mot💛oGP season with LCR.
