Niki Lauda's glittering career will be embellished with another award at this weekend's Italian Granꦅd Prix, as brake giant Brembo bestows its annual 'Bernie Eccles🌠tone Award' on him for 2013.

Brembo's Alberto Bombassei and Ecclestone himself will ꧟present the award at Monza to mark both Lauda's legendary races and the sporting and entrepreneur🌊ial capabilities he has since brought to the management side of F1.

The Austrian, a three-time world champion after taking the crown in 1975, '77 and '84, competed in 177 races, achieving 25 wins, 54 podiums and 24 pole positions despite the horrific accident that so nearly claimed his life during the 1976 campaign recently immortalised in the movie Rush.

After the retirement from racing, and before the most commitment he has fulfilled with the Mercedes AMG team since 2012, Lauda filled ▨various roles in motorsport, including team consultant, television commentator, writer and journalist, as well as trying to run his eponymou🦹s airline.

Brembo, which has been involved in F1 since 1975, equipped Lauda's championship-winning car in its debut season, and will now present that Austrian with only the third 'Bernie Ecclestoܫne Award', which resembles a braking system personalized with the colours of the Italian flag. Last year's award went to Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo.
