Richards heads up three-man Evo team

Glen Richards will compete in the British Superbike Championship this season after being signed to front an as☂sault on the Evo title alongside Graeme Gowland and A🐎lex Lowes.
The Australian, who raced with HM Plant Honda in 2009, returns to the series after a season spent in the Superstock class, Richards pairing up with Team WFR, the operation that helped him to a dominant British Supersport ✱title win in 2008.
Formerly known as Embassy Racing, WFR will supply Evo-specification Hondas to Richards, as well as Gowland🐎 and Lowes, who graduate from the Supersport class.
"The Embassy days were the most enjoyab🍷le and successful of my career and I have always kept in touc൲h with the guys," said Richards, who finished 12th overall in 2009 after having his season interrupted by injury.
"When I heard that some of them were putting together the Team WFR Evo project I knew it would be something special. I kept my fingers crossed and when I got the call I did everything in my power to make sure I was in their rider li♏ne-up.
"The Evo concept makes great sense to me and I believe it will provide the kind of racing the teams can afford and the fans will love - and as a rider, the more emphasis on my skills and the reduced importance of electronics can only be good. I would like to thank Team WFR for the opportunity and now it's a matter of repaying their faith by performing on track, and I can't wait🙈."
Gowland will joi🧜n Richards in returning to the Superbike class after a season spent with Motorpoint Yamaha in 2009, during which time he finished 15th overall with a single podium finish at Mallory Park. Last season he was sixth in the British Supersport standings.
Lowes, meanwhile, gets a fullܫ-time chance on the Superbike stage after an impressive single outing on the Redline KTM saw him get into the points. He also competed part-time at Supersport level in 2010, finishing 12th overall for Seton Yamaha.
