Jessopp confirmed with leg injury

Martin Jessopp has been diagnosed with a broken right tibia and fibula followi♍ng his co🌄llision with Dan Linfoot during the opening race at Mallory Park.
The Ridersmotocycles.com Ducati rider came together with Linfoot on the third lap🅺 of the race, Jessopp getting caught up in the 𝕴Yamaha as they came down.
The t🌳eam has since confirmed that Jessopp has suffered leg inju🌳ries and is currently waiting to be operated on at Leicester Royal Infirmary - hopefully on Wednesday - before being transferred to a hospital nearer to his home in Yeovil.
"I have also broken my left foot and it will just be a waiting game for that to mend, so it is all pretty frustrating really," he told the BSB website. "I haven't seen the full foo♏tage, but I just had the front collected and that was it.
"I was having a good weekend until then; the Ducati was working rea🀅lly well as Michael [Rutter - team-mate] showed, so I was on for some solid points and looked good to stay inside the top ten overall.
"The first thing I asked the surgeon was when they thought I could get back on the bike, but we will have to wait and see what happens after the operation. I was looking forward to Knock🍌hil♏l, and for the second year in a row I won't be out on the grid - that is obviously disappointing, but now I have to focus on my recovery and go from there."
Jessopp had been classified ninth in the overall standings ahead of Mallory Park and had been in contention for a Showdown position during the early stages of th⛎e seas🐬on.
