Sheridaꦺn Morais did his chances of securing a high profile Superbike ride in 2010 no harm at all after an impressive turn on the British Superbike stage for Paul Birdꦍ Motorsport Kawasaki.
The South African was called up to the World Superbike team as a last minute replacement for☂ the injured Makoto Tamada, Morais making his second appearance with the squad afteꦓr competing on the international stage at Kyalami earlier this season.
Se🌄ttling in a⭕gain quickly, Morais was immediately on the pace in free practice before securing a front row grid slot for the weekend's three races.
However, Morais' race hopes we𝔉re harmed by an inability to get the ZX-10R off the line quickly on each occasion. Indeed, he was left fight back from positions outside the t💟op ten in all three races, even crashing out heavily at the end of the opening lap during the first encounter of the weekend.
Nonetheless he would evꦑentually secure a tenth and eighth place finish, Morais thanking the team for the opportunity to join forces once again.
"I'd have liked to have been a l🐻ot further up in all of the races but the big crash we had on Saturday hindered our progress and I only had the one bik꧃e left so it was important to bring it home without any further problems.
"It's been fantastic working with the team once again and I'd like to thank them for the opportunity which has hopefully 🧔helped them progress and achieve some better results for the remainder of the year."
