Mason: My head went through the screen!
Gary Mason was left feeling somewhat worse for wear follow♏ing t🏅he second British Superbike Championship race at Snetterton after 'head-butting' the screen on his Quay Garage Honda.
Having seen his 100 per cent winning record i♏n the Mirror.co.uk Superbike Cup end with a retirement in the first race, Mason resumed his winning ways in race two with a run to 14th position overall.
However, in his attempts to keep Jon Kirkham at bay on the final lap, he ran wide at the chicane, h💙itting a bump and putting his helmet through the front screen of his Honda.

Lea🍸ving him feeling rather dazed - beyond the bump to the head -, Mason is looking ahead to Knockhill now after a difficult Snetterton weekend.
"I just protected my line when I passed Kirkham, so I went in a bit deep at the last chicane. I ran wide and there a big drop off and i was in the air and my head went through the scr𝓰een, I nearl⭕y got him on the line but I hurt the old private parts!
"We had a DNF in the first race, b⛦ut that's racing and we've had a good run. W🔯e were due for a bad weekend, so hopefully this is the one and we can move on to Knockhill."
