Hitech Racing was able to celebrate a second Hockenheim pole position as Walter Grubm?llඣer repeated Renger van der Zande's Friday feat of posting the fastest time in qualifying for round eight of the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series.

The Austrian lapped the damp-but-drying German Grand Prix circuit in 1♏min 34.451secs to claim top spot from his team-mate as Hitech proved to be a 𓆏cut above the rest in Saturday morning's session. van der Zande wound up second on a circuit he knows well, lapping less than a tenth off Grubmuller's pace.

"It was just a question of making every lap count," the second-year driver reported𝔍, "There was more grip to be found every lap, and I'm very pleased with my second pole of the season."

Behind the Hitech pair, Carlin team-mates Daniel Ricciardo and Max Chilt🍰on were third and fourth fastest as the order was shuffled from Friday. Ricciardo dropped back from his initial front row showing, while Chilton repeated his fourth-plaꦛce form. Marcus Ericsson was fifth fastest for Raikkonen Robertson, and will be joined on row three by Adriano Buzaid, who improved a couple of spots between sessions.

Riki Christodoulo𝔉u, Carlos Huertas, Wayne Boyd - up from 13th in qualifying for race one - and Nick Tandy, tenth again, rounded out the leading runners, while Jay Bridger produced an excellent eleventh-best time in his Litespeed-prepared Mygale for his best performance of the season, despite the handicap of having to run with full tanks because of a fuel pick-up problem. Bridger's time was only four-thousandths adrift of Tandy's in the field's other Mygale.

Leading National Class runner Daniel McKenzie not only turned the tables on Friday pacesetter Gabriel Dias, pushing his Fortec entry half a second ahead of his T-Sport rival, but also got ⭕ahead of the Inteᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚrnational Class cars of Daisuke Nakajima, Robert Wickens and Henry Arundel.
