The inaugural 250cc Indianapolis Grand Prix was first delayed and then cancelled due to appalꦬlin🍒g weather on Sunday.
The edge of Hurricane Ike arrived at Indy just before the planned 250cc start, prompting race officials to delay the event until after the Mot🍃oGP race.
However, high winds an𒊎d heavy rain caused the premier-class race to be halted seven laps from the finish, and - with even worse weather expected - thꦍe quarter-litre race was confirmed as cancelled soon after.
The next round♔ of the 250cc series will be held a🌠t Motegi, Japan, on September 28th.
