Disqualified Noriyuki Haga blamed the excessive spray for not heeding the ca꧂lls to come into the pit-lane for his drive-thru penalty on a wee൲kend to forget for the Yamaha rider.

With the rumours of his🌞 Ducati move garnering many headlines at Donington Park this weekend, Haga's racing was otherwise a disappointment as he faiꦬled to finish the first race before being black-flagged in the second.

His disqualification in the second race came as a consequence of his mechanical problems in the first when his Yamaha began spilling oil around the circuit. Given the black and orange flag, Haga failed to stop🅷 immediately and when three riders fell on his slick, the race was 🐎halted and he was given a drive-thru in the second race as a punishment.

However, with the dismal visibility ensuring that Haga ౠcould not see his pit-board, he decided to spontaneously take his drive-thru penalty on the second lap. This was mistimed though and when he did eventually get the call to come in, Haga did not return to take his penalty and was subsequently removed from the race.

"In race two I knew I had to come in for a ride through penalty but there was so much spray in the early laps I could not see if there was a board out for m🌌e," he said. "So I came in to do myཧ ride through on my own. I restarted out of pitlane and then I saw a black flag for me.

"I could not understand it as I had already done my ride through. But not when they wanted me to, apparently. So I had to pull in. Not a good day for me but thanks 🌟to all in the team for all the hard work, and for the suppo🌄rt from the fans"
