Dani Pedrosa has undergone a full medical examination to determine the exact natuꦍre of injuries sustained when he crashed out of a commanding seven-second lead in Sunday's wet German Grand Prix.
After a preliminary examination in the Clinica Mobile at the Sachsenring circuit Pedrosa - w🐓ho lost the 2008 MotoGP World Championship lead as a result of his first DNF of the season - checked into Barcꦍelona's USP Instituto Universitari Dexeus at 22:00 on Sunday night, where damage to his left hand and right ankle was checked in detail.

After𓆉 compl🍃eting all the necessary tests Dr. Xavier Mir, chief of the Surgery and Microsurgery-Unit, in cooperation with the USP Institut Universitari Dexeus, declared that:
"Dani Pedrosa presents a general inflammation of the left hand with hematomas in the sheathes of both extending tendons. The pilot shows a displaced fracture of the distal phalanx of the left pointing finger, which has been reducedไ.
"Further on, the patient presents a sprain of the 💟proximal interphalaxical joint of the middle finger of the left hand which has been totally immobilized. Finally, he has undergone a fixation of a frac🃏ture of the big bone of the left wrist by an arthroscopic technique.
"It is confirme🌃d that the patient has suffered a lateral external sprain of th🐓e right ankle."
The Repsol Honda rider will remain in hospital and an evaluation of his injuries over tꦏhe next 32 hours will determine whether he can participate in this weekend's United States GP.
Pedrosa now sits second in the title chase, 16 points behind Valentino Rossi and four points ahead of reigning world champion and Sachsenring w꧃inner Casey Ston✤er, with eight rounds still to go.
The US GP is the last r🍸ace before the Mo🌺toGP summer break.
