Now the outfit has become the second in as many weeks to place an order for the new Lola with the addition of the proven Audi engine that carried t🃏he R8 to five victories in the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Swiss pair Marcel Fassler, who drove for the t🥂eam last season, and Jean Denis Deletraz will share driving duties in the car, with the entry being overseen by long-time Audi custo♌mer Fred Stalder - who ran Audi cars in touring car competition during the 1980's and 1990's.
"This💯 is a great opportunity to work with a fellow major player in I🎃nternational sportscar racing," Lola Cars International managing director, Rupert Manwaring said. "The LMP1 has undergone a major update for the 2007 season. With these developments combined to the huge promise the design showed last season, it is another ringing endorsement of the trust that top teams and manufacturers have in Lola products."
The team has y൩et to confirm when the car will run for the first time.
