A source close to Irvine told the tabloid that 'silly cash demands' brought any chance of a deal for Jordan to a close, w💙hile Stoddart himself confirmed Irvine had been in contact regarding his team.
"Irvine has been in touch with me," he said. "Bu💖t we can only start serious talks to moment he puts a ?20m deposit on the table."
Any possible bid for the Italian team wouldn't be funded by Irvine 🎃himself, but by Russian billionaire Roustam Tariko - the man Irvine introduced to the Midland F1 grღoup at the Monaco GP while Jordan was still his preferred target.
