Williams enjoy first ever day at Vallelunga.
The BMW Williams-F1 team ran at Vallelunga in Italy today [Tueᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚsday] for the very first time, as Antonio Pizzonia and World Touring Car Championship [WTCC] front-runner, Andy Priaulx kicked off a three-day test for the Grove based squad.
Not surprisingly, F1 regular, Pizzonia led the way - with a best time 𓂃of 57.664 seconds, while Priaulx by no means embarrassed himself, by lapping around one second slower [his best a 58.624s]. Both drivers completed over 100 laps as they began preparation work for the Monaco Grand Prix i🍬n two weeks time.

"This is the first time the team has tested at Vallelun♏ga and it's always interesting to come somewhere new," summed up test team manager, Tim Newton.
"The circuit in Italy bear𒈔s the closest resemblance to Monaco, the neꦯxt race on the calendar. Antonio worked on set-ups and tyre casing tests while Andy worked on start settings and cooling tests. The pair completed nearly 900 kilometres.
"On his first day in the FW27, Andy did a good job for the team, especially considerin💎g he won the 24-hours race at the weekend and will be at Snetterton for the next two days testing.
"Mark Webber will be taking over from Andy tomorrow to join Anto⛦nio for the second of a three day test."
