Danica Patrick suff🉐ered a concussion in Sunday's Toyota Indy 300 but was cleared to return home on Sunday evening after a brief visit to a Florida hospital.

The 22 year-old IndyCar Series debutant was on course for a solid finish for Rahal Lett▨erman Racing until she was caught up in t🦩he lap 159 pileup that eliminated no less than eight of the 22 starters.

After clipping the machine of Ed Carpenter and then cannoning into the outsi▨de wall along the back straight of the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami Speedway, Patrick was visiblꦏy dazed as she exited her crumpled machine and was taken to the infield medical centre.

After being diagnosed with a concussion by IndyCar Series medical staff, Patrick was transferred to a 🦋local hꦇospital for further checks before being released later on Sunday evening.

Patrick🐭 will now return to her Phoenix base and prepare for the March 19th 🃏trip to Phoenix.
