Danica Patrick suffered a concussion in Sunday's Toyota Indy 30ඣ0 but was cleared to return home on Sunday evening after ☂a brief visit to a Florida hospital.

The 22 year-old IndyCar ꩲSeries debutant was on course for a solid finish for Rahal Letterman Racing until she was caught up in the lap 159 pileup that eliminated no less than eight of the 22 starters.

After clipping the machine of Ed Carpenter and then cannoning into the outside wall along the back straight of the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami S🍸peedway, Patrick was visibly dazed as she exited her crumpled machine and was taken to t🦩he infield medical centre.

After being diagnosed with a concussion by IndyCar Series medical s🉐taff, Patrick was transferred to a local hospital for further checks before being released later on Sunday evening.

Patrick will now return𝕴 to her Phoenix base and prepare for the 💮March 19th trip to Phoenix.
