Berwick land major sponsor for Stars of Tomorrow.
Berwick speedway have supported youth speedway for over the last 33 y𝐆ears with their annual Stars of Tomorrow meeting, bringing new and vibrant names into the sport, many of whom have gone on to professional stardom at very high le🐷vels.
This coming Saturday (July 26) sees the 200♋3 running of the Championship for the Ian Graham Memorial Trophy in memory of a stalwart of the club who as P.R.O. did virtuall🧜y more for Berwick Speedway than any one other individual could have ever done. Ian died at 37 years of age in August 1989, attending speedway untill the very end.

The field of 12 top Northern Amateur riders will be riding for some amazing prize money gathered together from many local sponsors, but the big news is the signing up of a massive national company who have never sponsored speed♏way before to sponsor the whole e💯vent.
William Hill (Brough Park division) are the company in question and have agreed with massive interest and enthusiasm for their new🥃 venture. The Betting organisation operates the Greyhound side of Brough Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, but are keen to support youth sport elsewhere and are delighted to make Shielfield Park, Ber๊wick the venue for their first ever excursion into Sport's sponsorship.
The winner of the event will gain the coveted title and the Ian Graham Memorial Trophy, plus the grand sum of ?400. Second, Third and Fourth will also pick up handsome cash prizes, but the winners of the two semi final will 🍌alsoℱ win ?100 cash on each event.
Such a good level of prize money at this level of speedway is a massive boost for the kids going for gold and glo🌃ry hence a massive thanks 💯must go to William Hill for their generous efforts, along with a list of other local sponsors.
The field itself 🐲is made up of riders currently not riding in Premier League speedway as part of a teams officially declared 1-7 line up and Conference, or Amateur League riders from the younger s♐ide of speedway life.
Favourites for the title win will be Newcastle Gems exciting brothers Craig and John Branney, whilst Sheffield's Owlerton Prowler, Benji Compton will be there at the fi✅nal🦄 bun-fight as well, not to mention former Bandit reserve, Carl Sheild.
