Despite recent fears over their future, the Edinburgh Monarchs appear to have overcome their proble🧔ms and, it is༒ understood, are soon to formally declare their intention to undertake Premier League racing again next season.

At the start of 2002, ꦉthe Monarchs had assembled an attractive side that look c♓apable of being title contenders but an unfortunate run of injuries didn't help.

Other factors that contributed to whispers that the f꧑amous old club could fold included poor attendance figures over the latter half of the season which hit finances hard. The formal announcement that all is well anticipated to soon follow if a clean bill of fiscal health is forthcoming.

If the Monarchs are saved, it would be a major surprise if Armadale legend Peter Carr does not spearhead the 2003 team. Front runners to join him could be the Swede Magnus Karlsson, signed midway through 2002, and Dutchman Theo Pijper who had such an impressive debut seaso🐷n with the Australian teenager Rory Schlein slotting in💧 to that same category.

This🃏 is speculation in the absence of an announcement from the Monarchs' management but the signs appear positive and indications point towards speedway racing at Armadale next season.
