Marquez sets impressive pace in first MotoGP test

The much anticipated debut of Marc Marquez on a MotoGP bike may have been brief, but it only took the teenager 27 laps to post a time just over a s𒊎econd slower than team-mate Dani Pedrosa, on record pace.
To p𓆉ut that int🎶o perspective, it was Marquez's first time on an RC213V, Bridgestone tyres and carbon brakes.
Forced to sit out the entire first day of testing at Valencia due to wet weather, Marquez eventually got a taste of MotoGP machinery on day two. Once the morning rain had drie𝓰d, the Spaniard caused an immediate stir by getting down to 1min 34.911secs during his maiden run.
Returning to the circuit for more track time, Marquez eve🎃ntually completed a total of 28 laps, working his best time down to an impres💫sive 1min 33.403secs - seventh overall and just 1.1secs slower than Pedrosa's lap record-breaking effort.
A fine performance for the youngster, though Marquez admits he will need to adapt his riding style to sui𓆏t a MotoGP bike, he wꦆas delighted with his maiden outing.
"I feel so happy! We waited the whole day for the track to dry so that we could finally try the bike, but it took such a long time. In the end I began to get impatient and the track wasꦫ drying up so we decideꦇd to go out.
"In the beginning it was quite difficult but very nice to feel the power of the bike! I had a lot of wheelie on the straights but I gradually gained confidence on each exi💖t and got faster and faster o🌄n every run.
"I tried to adapt my riding style from Moto2 because there was quite a big difference. There are many things to improve and try, the🌳 front ⛎tyre was also very different to what I'm used to but the main thing is that we have had good start and I have a very good feeling with the team."
Marqꦍuez will get the chan⛦ce to test the 2013 Repsol Honda prototype on 26, 27 and 28 November in a private test at Sepang.
