Shane Byrne’s Be Wiser Ducati s🌠quad has confirmed the six-time Bennetts British Superbike champion will undergo surgery after his fall during the Snetterton test and is ex🉐pected to make a full recovery.

The defending BSB champion crashed on his third lap of the opening session at the Snetterton test at Turn 3 which saw the session red flagged. Byrne was treated at the track medical centre before being transporte𒉰d by ambulance to hospital.

B👍yrne remains in hospital and will have surgery on vertebrae and potentially his neck. The PBM-run Be Wiser Ducati squad says Byrne is set to make a full recovery while further updates are expected to follow.

The 41-year-old currently sits third in the BSB riders’ championship with one win and two furt💃her rostrums from the opening three rounds of the 2018 campaign.
