Cowton has died at Southern 100
James Cowton has 🐠died following a crash at the Southern 100 on the Isle of Man, with Ivan Lintin in a critical condition.
Cowton had been contesting the 600 Challenge r🐟ace, the final event at the Southern 100, for McAdoo Racing Kawasaki when the incident occurred at Stadium bends which triggered an immediate red flag.
The 25-year-old was involved in the𝓀 four-rider incident with Ivan Lintin con꧅firmed in a critical condition, while Jamie Coward suffered a shoulder injury and Mickey Evans has suffered arm and leg injuries.

“The South꧟ern 100 MCRC, organisers of the Southern 100 International Road Races, regret to announce that following an incident involving four-competitors at Stadium Bends during the 600cc Challenge race, Driffield rider, James Cowton succumbed t🐲o his injuries,” a statement from the organisers read.
“The other riders involved, Iva🌜n Lintin is in a critical condition, whilst Jamie Coward has s𝓡houlder injuries and Mickey Evans leg and arm injuries.
“Southern 100 Racing extends it sincere condolences to family, relatives and friends of James Cowton at this very sad ജtime.
“The organisers are carrying out a full investigation in conjunctioꦑn with Isle of Man Constabulary into the circumstances of the incident on behalf of the Coroner of Inquests.”
The remainder of the Southern 100 was cancelle𒁏d to allow the emergency services t🦂o carry out their work and investigations.
The tragic news comes less than a week ౠafter💮 William Dunlop was killed in an incident during practice at the Skerries 100.
