Glenn Irwin has secured his mai🍷den Bennetts British Superbike championship pole position at Brands Hatch ahead of Josh Brookes in an intensely competitive 💜qualifying.

The Be Wiser Ducati rider notch꧂ed up a 1m 24.628s on his first flying lap of💃 the pole position shootout in Q3 to take the provisional top spot and despite a number of challengers the Northern Irish rider held on to his first outright pole position in BSB and second overall having started from the front at Snetterton’s race two earlier this year.

Brookes ended up Irwin’s closest contender on thꦍe McAMS Yamaha, missing out by just 0.081s, while RAF Regular & Reserves Kawasaki’s Jake Dixon grabbed the final spot on the front row by just 0.001s ahead of BSB rookie Tarran Mackenzie on the second McAMS Yamaha.

BSB championship leader Leon Haslam had to settle for the middle of the second row on the JG Speedfit Kawasaki one place ahead of teamma🐈te Luke Mossey.

Tyco BMW’s Christian Iddon clinched the front of tဣhe third rౠow ahead of Be Wiser Ducati’s Andrew Irwin, who suffered a late fall at Graham Hill Bend after finishing his final qualifying lap, with Richard Cooper completing the third row for Buildbase Suzuki.

After finishing free practice an impressive sixth quickest on his Moto Rapido Ducati debut qualifying turned into a nightmare for Tommy Bridewell when he crashed out early in Q1 which leaves him anchored on the final row of the grid in 26th.
