Randy Krummenacher has extended his World Supersport championship lead to 22 points over team-mate Federico Caricasulo ♊by beating him in a⭕ final-lap fight at Misano.

The Bardahl Evan Bros Yamaha pair stormed to the front having seen pole-sitter Lucas Mahias lead for the opening laps🐠 with both riders charging♊ past on Lap 3.

The pair then traded overtakes for the lead throughout the race, sizing each other up,ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ but with neither rider able to breakaway at the front it set up a tense last-lap fight.

Krummenacher initially led at the start of the lap before Caricasulo dived up the inside at Turn 4, wh🦂ich forced the Swiss rider wide and lose vital ground in🦂 the sprint down the back straight.

But clawing back time towards the final sector, Krummenacher measured his charge on the sequence of right-handers to dive inside his team-mate before defending🃏 the inside line at the penultimate corner switchback.

The pair rubbed fairing and elb♈ows in the sprint to the final corner but defending t🍬he inside Krummenacher kept in front by just 0.084s at the finish line.

With Caricasulo having to settle for second place Mahias almost profited from the fight at the front in third place, just 0.161༒s off the outright victory, having pulled clear of Jules Cluzel on the GMT94 Yamaha in fourth place.

Hikari Okubo grabbed fifth place for P🦹ucc🅘etti Kawasaki having faded late on from the front group, while Lorenzo Gabellini grabbed sixth place for Gomma Racing Yamaha.

Hannes Soomer completed a lonely race in seventh placඣe for WILSport Racedays Honda, while Kevin Manfredi stole eighth place at ꦰthe line from Thomas Gradinger as Massimo Roccoli rounded out the top 10.

Maria Herrera was shown a black flag for re-joining the race despite returning to the garage with a mechaniꦅcal issue earlier in the race.
