Redding, Hickman, Triumph shortlisted for 2019 Torrens Trophy

Scott Redding, Peter Hickman and Tri꧋umph Motorcycles have been announced as the contenders fo♛r the 2019 Torrens Trophy.

Following a stan൲dout year for British motorcycle spo♑rt, the nominees for this year’s Torrens Trophy from the Royal Automobile Club have been revealed with the winner confirmed early next year.

Scott Redding, Peter Hickman and Triumph Motorcycles have been announced as the contendeಌrs for the 2019 Torrens Trophy.

Following a standout year for British motorcycle sport, the nominees for this year’s Torrens Trophy from the Royal Automobile 𝕴Club have been revealed with the winner confirmed early n𓄧ext year.

Former MotoGP star Redding stormed his rookie season in the Bennettꦛs British Superbike championshi🔴p by winning the riders’ title, taking 11 wins and nine additional rostrum finishes for Be Wiser Ducati to see off team-mate Josh Brookes to secure the BSB crown by five points.

Fellow BSB rider Peter Hickman, who ended the season inside the Showdown, has been nominated for his exploits on ꦫthe roads with the highlight of three more wins at the Isle of Man TT competing for Smiths Racing.

The final nomination sees Triumph Motorcycles up for the award after an imprಌessive first year as the new sole engine supplier for the Moto2 world cham💟pionship having taken over from Honda.

The Torrens Trophy recognises an individual or organisation considered to have made an outstanding contribution to motorcycling in the United Kingdom. It has been awarded 11 times with Tai Woffinden picking up the honouꦗr last year after becoming the most successful British speedway rider in history.

The last manufacturer to be awarded the Torrens Trophy is BMW in 1989 for ܫtheir work in motorcycle safety𝓡 developing anti-lock braking systems.

The winner of the 2019 Torrens Trophy will be announced in early 2020 during a special event at the Royal Automobile Club’s London headquarters in Pal𓂃l Mall.
