One engine for Moto2.

The FIM has confirmed that the new Moto2 class, which will replace the 250cc World Championship, is to have a single engine supplier.

The FIM has confirmed that the new Moto2 class, which will replace the 250cc World Championship, is to have a single engine 💛supplier.

Moto2, which will feature 600cc four-stroke engines and a prototype chassis, was due to start i🔴n 2011, but the FIM announcement regarding the engine rule 🤡revealed that the machines will race from next season.

"For 2010

"The [Grand Prix] commission unanimously accepted the proposition of the MSMA to have a "One Make Engine Regulation" in the Moto2 class. The name of the manufacturer🍷 will be announced🌞 later," said the statement.

The original intention had been for Moto2 bikes to be powered by production-based engines from various manufacturers, which may have caused a clash with the World Super✅sport Championship.
