Aoyama to miss Dutch TT

Hiroshi Aoyama will miss the impending Dutch TT, round six of the MotoGP World Championship, aft♓er it was confirmed he fractured his vertebra in his fall at Silverstone.

The Japanese rider high-sided from the Interwetten Honda during warm-up for the British Grand Prix and was taken to hospital where he was d𓃲iagnosed with a fracture of the T12 ver♌tebra.

Currently still in hospital, a second CT scan was performed Mondꦚay morning, which confirmed the injury had not worsened overnight. Doctors have informed Aoyama that he can return home to Barcelona on Tuesday in order to seek a second opinion.

In the short-term, Aoyama will not race at Assen this weekend, although it remains unclear how long he will be absent𒈔 from competition.

Interwetten Racing is one of only two teams to have competitors in a♕ll three classes of grand prix racing with Marcel Schrotter in 12𓆉5cc and Thomas Luthi in Moto2.
