Ahead of the winter MotoGP testing ban, a private test is being held alongside the leading World Superb𝓀ike teams at Jerezk.

The Suzuki, KTM and Aprilia factory MotoGP teams are present 🧸at the Spanish circuit, plus satellite riders from Honda and Ducati.

The factory Ducati team is not taking part, since new signing Jorge Lorenzo was only given permissi♌on from Yamaha for the Valencia test. For the same reason, Pol Espargaro is unable to test🐬 for KTM - but is present to watch from trackside.

Alex Rins (Suzuki) is missing the test due to injuries at Valencia, while tea🐬m-mate Andrea Iannone only rode on Wednesday.

Repsol Honda originally planned to attend, bu🔥t have since changed their minds, while Movistar Yamaha and Monster Yamaha Tech 3 have chosen 🧔Sepang in Malaysia for their private test.

The winter test ban then begins o𓆏n December 1 and runs until the official Sepang test starts at the end of January.

Testing at Jerez concludes on Friday evening, althou🍌gh not all riders are expected to return for the final day, preferring to save their limited private testing for 2017.

Thursday saw World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea lead the timesheets with a 1m 38.721s, which is quicker than Valenti🐻no Rossi's pole time aꦓt this year's MotoGP.
