Interlagos makes WEC calendar comeback in 2019

The FIA Worl🔥d Endurance Championship w🌠ill return to Interlagos from the 2019-20 season series organisers have confirmed.

A reported multi-year deal has been confirmed between the Brazilian circuit, which also h🌠olds Formula 1’s Brazilian Grand Prix, to hos꧂t a six-hour race in WEC after the new ‘super-season’ is completed midway through 2019.

The new race agreement sees the series return to Brazil for the first time since 2014 wh🌞en Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace hosted WEC between 2012-2014 but after hitting financial difficulties it dropped off the 2𓆉015 calendar.

The FIA World Enduran🐭ce Championship will return to Interlagos from the 2019🔯-20 season series organisers have confirmed.

A reported multi-year deal has been confirmed between the Braz💖ilian circuit, which also holds Formula 1’s Brazilian Grand Prix, to host a six-hour race in WEC after the new ‘super-season’ i💫s completed midway through 2019.

The new race agreement sees the series return to Brazil for the first time since 2014 when Autodromo Jꦉose Carlos Pace hosted WEC between 2012-2014 but after hitting financial difficulties it dropped off the 2015 calendar.

The official date of the Interlagos round for the 2019-20 season is yet to be formally confirmed but WEC CEO Gerard Neveu is thrilled to see the Brazilian round back on🌠 the race calendar.

"This is very good news not only for the huge number of extremely passionate and loyal Brazilian fans of the WEC, but also for the championship’s competitors who ๊love to race✤ on the legendary Interlagos circuit," Neveu said.

“Our return to South America has been something we’ve been working towards for several years now, and our thanks must go to Nicholas Duduch and ♕his organisation for their hard work to make it happen, with the support of the city of Sao Paulo. Having Bruno Senna a𝓀s our WEC race ambassador in Sao Paulo is a real honour; he is undoubtedly one of the best drivers from the FIA WEC.
