Peugeot's Markko Martin could be on his way b🀅ack to Ford in 2💙006, when the French manufacturer quits the WRC.

The news broke during the Rally of Turkey last weekend, when, according to rallymagazin.de, a French television station reported that an aಞgreement had been reached.

Although both sides denied the report, such a move would be logical, not only in light of Martin's history with the 'blue oval' - he raced for Ford between 2002-2004 - but also because team boss, Malcolm Wilson, will probably wan🌌t a stronger driver line-up next season, when the outfit introduces the all new Focus.

"I am sure that Ford will have a very ꦗstrong package in 2006," Martin told the German webs🥂ite.

"I want toဣ go somewhere wher🅰e people want to achieve the optimum result."
