Peugeot's Markko Martin coul༒d be on his way back to Ford in 2006, when the French manufacturer quit🍎s the WRC.

The news broke during the Rally of Turkey last weekend, when, according to rallymagazin.de, a French t🍷elevision station reported that an agreement had been reached.

Although both sides denied the report, such a move would be logical, not only in light of Martin's hiﷺstory with the 'blue oval' - he raced for Ford between 2002-2004 - but also because team boss, Malcolm Wilson, will probably want a stronger driver line-up next season, when the outfit introduces the all new Focus.

"I am sure that Ford will have a very strong package in 2006,"🧸 Martin told the German website.

"I want to go somewhere where people want to achieve the optimum re🔜s🗹ult."
