Sykes hit the headlines at Brands Hatch when he qualified on the second row of the grid before proceeding to very nearly score a podium in the ꧃first race of the weekend. He would eventually come away with a seventh place finish in the second race after bein𒈔g forced to retire with a damaged radiator in the first one.
