After a slow start to🎶 the season for Alpine, Gasly’s performances were elevated by the French manufacturer’s late-season improvement. Alongside Esteban Ocon, the pair both finished on the podium at the São Paulo Grand Prix, propelling them up to sixth in the construc♒tors’ standings.
Gasly has rebuilt his F1 career since leavin൲g Red Bull in the middle of 2019. The Frenchman was promoted to the main team after a strong 18-month stint at Toro Rosso.
However, rumours of Gasly having a fall-out with Adrian Newey, combined with his abysmal on-track 🐠displays, meant he was switched with Alex Albon for the remainder of 2019.
Gasly flourished at AlphaTauri, taking a shock win at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix ahead of Carlos Sainz. He also♌ enjoyed a fine 2021 campaign, finishing on the podium in Azerbaijan.
Despite 🌟his strong performances, Red Bull refused to give him a second opportunity at the ꦗsenior team, sticking with Sergio Pérez despite the Mexican’s inconsistent run of performances.
Gasly opted to join Alpine after a s✃eat opened up following the Oscar Piastri contract fiasco꧒. The 28-year-old slowly gained momentum at Alpine, with the team appearing to favour him over Esteban Ocon, who decided to leave for Haas in 2025.
