Kevin Magnussen says he is aiming to be back in his car for this week's Italian Grand Pri꧃x after escaping serious injury in a high-speed accident at Eau Ro🅷uge during the Belgian Grand Prix.

The Dane was running ninth in the early stages of the Spa-Francorchamps race when🐻 he lost control of his Renault RS16 at the top of Eau Rouge before impacting the barrier heavily.

Despite🍎 the severity of the shunt, Magnussen was able to extricate himself from the car, though would be taken to hospital for a precautionary ch🌳eck. Diagnosed with an ankle injury, Magnussen was discharged before tweeting that he expects to be in the car for Monza practice on Friday.

Magnussen will need to undergo a medical check before being given the all clear to compete at Monza. If Magnussen is unable to race Renault faces a ꦕheadache in terms of replacing him having lost its reserve driver to Manor Racing.
