There is no better place, on paper, for Marc Marquez to put his last-turn Assen disappointment behindꦫ him than this weekend's German MotoGP.

The reigning double champion hasn't lost a race at tꦫhe Sachsenring since 2009 - winning in th🐓e 125cc class in 2010, Moto2 in 2011 and 2012, then adding MotoGP victories for the last two seasons.

Sachsenring𓄧 2015 will be the second event since Marquez switched back to the 2014 RCV chassis.

"We worked well all weekend in Assen and w♛e have found some positive progression with the bike. There are still some things to solve, but we have definitely made a step forward," said Marquez.

The Repsol Honda star is currently fourth in the championship and 74 points behind Valentino Rossi after the Italian emerged victorious in 🥂their controversial Assen shoꦓwdown.

The pair made contact when Marquez dived for the lead, Rossi running off-track and straight-lining the chicane before taking victory. Marquez wasn't happy that Rossi cut the track, but Race ♉Direction declared he only did so because of the contact and at no point was Marquez in front♋.

Being so far behind in the championship, Marquez's immediate focus is to add to his ꦓsingle victory so far this season.

"Sachsenring is a small and twisty✱ little circuit, unlike any other♔s on the calendar," he continued. "I've enjoyed good results here in the past and I hope this weekend can prove to be a good weekend for us also. The weather can be tricky there so we will have to work hard from the first session."

Last year the young Spaniard won from pit lane for the ni♔nth of his ten wins in a row, after chang🐓eable weather sent many riders into the pits at the end of the warm-up lap.

Team-mate Dani Pedrosa was a close second in that race, having won at the circuit six times, including four MotoGP v♉ictories.

"I'm looking forward to the next GP in Sachsenring, a track I that enjoy racing at," said Pedrosa, working✅ his way back up the standings after missing three races following arm pump surger♍y.

"Last year we had a crazy race there but a good performance. The bike is starting to worꦓk better now and we hope to make some more progress in this GP, before the Summer break.

"My arm is recovering well and my fitness is improving and that is important to be able to fight at the front. My pace is getಌting better and I hope to make another step this weekend."
