"I told my girlfriend I'd do it and I was also talking to Jack Miller because he does some crazy stuff. I just dropped the head down - but I didn't want to touchꦗ it because the Sh♒ark [helmet] people would kick my arse!"
Redding will start his final race for the Gresini team from 14th on the grid, as thꦐe top Open Honda rider.
"It went really well and I'm just putting my laps together and not looking to follow anyonꦜe," said Redding. "I've been consistent all weekend and really consistent. We're struggling for front grip and for the front tyre. We were using the harder front tyre yesterday and today it didn't work because the temperature dropped a little bit s💧o we had to use the soft tyre today.
"I used th🌳e dual compound and it was really good today, but we only have one💧 and I did seven laps on it, so I might have to consider using it tomorrow. I'm hoping that the temperature comes up for the race because I don't want to use a seven lap old tyre in the race."
Redding holds an eight-point lꩲead over Hiroshi Aoyama for top Open Honda honours heading into this afternoon's season finale. Aoyama, who has been given the 2015 RC213V-RS bike to debut t𒊎his weekend, will start 18th.
