The🃏se pictures show Pol Espargaro's fiery accident in Saturday morning practice for the Malaysian MotoGP at Sepang.
The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 ride๊r was launched from his bike at turn one after oil leaked onto his rear wheel, caused by a small piece of glass debris damaging an oil radiator.
Other riders had tried to warn Espargaro, but the 💟intermittent smoke meant🔯 he didn't spot the damage.
Espargaro broke the seco🍰nd metatarsal bone in his left foot and was ruled out of qualifying, but intends to return for Sunday's race.
"The bike was letting a small [amount of] oil on to the wheel but I didn't see it so I continued pushing - and it had the same power and everything - but at the end of the straight but when I braked some oil was starting to come onto the wheel," Espar🦩garo said.
"We'll have to forget [the injury] because tomorrow we have a rac🦩e. Changing gear will be really di🦂fficult with the pain, but we'll see tomorrow what happens."
