French rider Franck Petricola is '🧸serious but stable' following an accident during practic๊e for the Superstock class at the North West 200 on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old, a newcomer to the event, came off his BMW machine at the Primrose corner secꦏtion of the circuit with minutes of the session remaining.

He was treated at the scene before being airlif﷽ted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Mr Petricola is in the intensive care unit but his injurie💛s are said to be 'non-life threatening'.

He was riding for the Ice Valꦆley BMW Team on his debut at the 8.9-mile circ𓆉uit.
