Camier shines with new personal best

Leon Camier is now just one step away from winning a World Superbike Championship race in his rookie season after scorin🐲g another personal best with a run to second at Miller Motorsports Park.
The late𒉰st strong performance from the ever-improving reigning British Superbike Champion, Camier shrugged off his inexperience of the Utah circuit to prove competitive throughout race day.
Benefitting from his Aprilia's good straight-line speed to get off the line well on both occasions, although tyre problems dropped him to fourth in race one, Camier was able to make ground in race two as he caught and passed Tro🍨y Corser be♑fore holding off Cal Crutchlow.
Crossing the line second behind April🀅ia Alitalia team-mate Max Biaggi, Camier was delighted൩ to contribute to the team's first-ever 1-2 finish at this level.
"It couldn't have gone any better than this," he said. "I rode a second race which w𝓀as pushed to the maximum. The modifications to my RSV4 worked. Max had a better pace, so my goal is to keep working and growing so that I can stay up frꦑont.
"A double victory is always something magic, particularly this one ꦛwhich is the♉ first for Aprilia. I hope I can give more of this kind of excitement to both the fans and the entire Team."
Significantly, Camier is now up to eighth in the overall standings and is w🍒ell positioned to make further in-roads, not least because he is the only rider to have retired in four races this season so far.
